About Oakmont Memorial Park & Mortuary
Oakmont Memorial Park & Mortuary has been serving the families of Contra Costa County (and beyond), for over 60 years. We treat each family that we serve with respect, dignity and kindness.
We are very active in our community and are proud members of the "We Honor Veterans" program.
Annually, we host a multitude of community events, such as our very popular "Gathering of Remembrance". This is an opportunity for families to come and join with other families who have lost a loved one. We understand that the first holidays without our loved ones can be difficult, so we strongly encourage people to come together for this lovely event. We provide ornaments for folks to place a message of love in and that ornament can then be placed upon our Christmas tree.
We also have a local Pastor come and provide words of encouragement to the attendees. People truly enjoy connecting with others who have lost a loved one, and quite a few friendships have been made while enjoying our refreshments. We also have our annual Holiday viewing of "It's A Wonderful Life", A Veteran's Day event, Mother's and Father's Day events, etc..
