DVC coach Cailin Mullins honored
Mullins has guided DVC to the CCCAA state soccer semifinals for the first time.
DVC women's soccer coach Cailin Mullins was selected as NorCal Coach of the Year at the CCCAA State Banquet Thursday. Mullins, in her 16th season, has guided the Vikings to the best season in program history, including a first Big 8 Conference title and first final four berth, among other achievements.
The Vikings advanced to the final four with a 1-0 win over Big 8-rival San Joaquin Delta in Round 3 of the playoffs on a goal by Noelle Lemos, who has 19 goals this season.
DVC will face Santa Barbara in the state semifinals at 7 p.m. Friday at Ventura College.
