Early Morning Crash Knocks Out Traffic Signal in Pleasant Hill

The accident was at 1:43 a.m. on Taylor Boulevard at Pleasant Hill Road.

A solo vehicle crash early this morning knocked out a traffic signal in Pleasant Hill, according to police.

The crash happened at the corner of Taylor Boulevard and Pleasant Hill Road at 1:43 a.m., police said.

Four occupants of the 2008 Lexus sedan, who are in their late teens to early 20s, suffered minor to moderate injuries in the crash, including minor abrasions and a head injury, police said.

They were taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek for treatment. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash, police said.

The intersection’s traffic signal control box was damaged in the crash, knocking out the traffic signal in all directions. It remains out this morning, police said.
