Walk for Fall Prevention

The Fall Prevention Program of Contra Costa County, part of Meal on Wheels and Senior Outreach Services, will hold its annual Walk for Fall Prevention on September 22, 2012 at 10am in Pleasant Hill to celebrate Fall Prevention Awareness Week.

The event will include a short walk and a resource fair for seniors, their care givers, and their families. More than forty vendors are expected to participate.

This event is a fundraiser for the Fall Prevention Program of Contra Costa County, dedicated to keeping seniors safe in their homes. The goal of the program is to prevent falls in the senior community, which is accomplished through educational presentations, Home Safety Assessments, and the new In-Home Exercise Program.
