Fallen Tree Blocks Paso Nogal Road In Pleasant Hill
The incident resulted in a nearly three-hour closure of the roadway Sunday, according to the Pleasant Hill Police Department.
PLEASANT HILL, CA— A massive Eucalyptus tree fell Sunday afternoon onto Paso Nogal Road in Pleasant Hill, blocking a stretch of the roadway near the city's border with Martinez for nearly three hours.
The Pleasant Hill Police Department said in an advisory shortly after 1 p.m. that the road was closed between Alhambra Avenue and Morello Avenue because of the fallen tree.

“I went to Safeway on Paso Nogal Road,” Lidstone said in an email to Patch. “Came back 15 minutes later and this huge tree is down.”
Pleasant Hill police sent an update just before 4 p.m. stating the tree was removed from the roadway and the closure lifted.
