Flintstones Rocks on Diablo's South Side

Sunday, August 2nd, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

A hike to savor the landscape of Mount Diablo, the passing scene is endlessly surprising and refreshing. From Curry Point we’ll hike down to Rock City before descending into leafy Sycamore Canyon.

Then it’s a climb over to the Knobcone Point area and intriguing Balancing Rock before heading back to our trailhead along a ridge with expansive views of Mt. Diablo and much of the burn area of the 2013 Morgan Fire. Steady relaxed pace with lunch break. Be cautious of poison oak along the trail.

Bring water, snacks, a hat and sun screen, dress in layers, and wear sturdy hiking shoes.
