Getaway Vehicle Breaks Down; Pleasant Hill Theft Ring Suspects Arrested
Four alleged members of an organized retail theft ring were arrested after a pursuit that began in Pleasant Hill Thursday.

PLEASANT HILL - Four alleged members of an organized retail theft ring were arrested after a pursuit that began in Pleasant Hill Thursday, according to police.
Pleasant Hill police were notified around 10:30 a.m. Thursday of a large theft at a Marshalls store at 2310 Monument Blvd.
Responding officers spotted the getaway vehicle that the reporting party described near the scene. A pursuit ensued when the vehicle fled from police.

The chase was later called off due to the motorist's reckless driving, police said. Shortly thereafter, the suspect vehicle became disabled on state Highway 24 near the Interstate Highway 680 split.
Officers arrived and arrested the suspects, identified as 18-year-old Tybreyante Hopyard, 19-year-old Dashiahnae Johnson, 21-year-old Toriano Hudson and 21-year-old Tiara Woods.

Police allege that the suspects are part of a theft ring responsible for stealing tens of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise over the past few months.
