Hold The Date: Pre-Halloween Event To Feature Dark Side Of Moon, Laser Show
Free event in nearby Concord will include music, dancers, astronomy and the farmers market!

CONCORD, CA – The City of Concord will present a new pre-Halloween music and science event in Todos Santos Plaza on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. when House of Floyd performs Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon accompanied by a laser light show.
The evening also features lead project scientist Steve Howell from NASA's Kepler Mission speaking about new planetary discoveries, and the Mt. Diablo Astronomical Society and Mark Westwind of Sustainable Contra Costa speaking about sustainable design and the new science of biomimicry. Biomimicry is an approach to innovation that seeks solutions to human challenges by emulating nature’s strategies.
Musicians Jim and Kathy Ocean will also perform with students from Deanne’s School of Dance. Additionally, the Farmers’ Market is in the plaza from 4 to 8 p.m.The event is free and open to the public.
