K-9 Officer Muzzy Passes Away In Pleasant Hill
The Belgian Malinois retired from the department in late 2014 after a career of apprehending suspects and finding missing folks.

PLEASANT HILL, CA ā Retired K-9 Officer Muzzy, a Belgian Malinois nearing his 13th birthday, passed away Wednesday after a brief illness, the Pleasant Hill Police Department said.
Born in 2005, Muzzy joined the Pleasant Hill force in 2008 and was a dedicated officer that assisted in apprehending suspects, finding drugs and contraband, helping to locate missing persons and representing the department at such community events as National Night Out, police said.
Muzzy retired in December 2014, living out his final years in the home of his long-time, human partner, Sgt. Priebe.
