Man Arrested For Alleged Hash Oil Fire In Concord
A man was arrested Saturday for allegedly manufacturing hash oil and causing a fire at a Concord residence, according to police.

CONCORD - A man was arrested Saturday for allegedly manufacturing hash oil and causing a fire at a Concord residence, according to police.
John Laudin, a 33-year-old man who rented space in a home in the 1800 block of Clayton Way, allegedly caused a fire reported at 10:44 p.m. Saturday in the residence's detached garage.
Concord police Cpl. Christopher Blakely said several children were in units near the blaze, but no one was injured.

A car did sustain burn damage from the fire, which was extinguished by a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District crew.
Evidence consistent with manufacturing and selling hash oil was found in the man's possession, Blakely said.

Blakely said charges of arson, child endangerment and drug-related offenses have been recommended to the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.
Laudin, who was arrested the night of the fire and was later booked into Martinez Detention Facility, has not been formally charged yet, according to the district attorney's office.
