Man Arrested For Suspected Mail Theft During Early-Morning Patrol

Police are suggesting the use of USPS-approved locking mailboxes as one way to help prevent mail theft.

PLEASANT HILL, CA — Police patrolling the area around Putnam Boulevard near Belle Avenue arrested a man around 2 a.m. after finding him walking in the area with what they suspected was stolen mail, according to the Pleasant Hill Police Department said.

They arrested Ryan Fox, 37, of Antioch, for suspected mail theft and outstanding warrants.

Police said officers will work on returning the mail to the residents.
