Man Found With Explosive Device In Pleasant Hill Traffic Stop, Police Say
Breaking: Police say a bomb squad from a neighboring agency responded to destroy the device.

PLEASANT HILL, CA -- An Antioch man was arrested Sunday afternoon in Pleasant Hill after he was found to be in possession of an explosive device, police said.
According to police, at 1:50 p.m. an officer participating in the "Click it or Ticket" campaign pulled over a 2000 GMC Sierra pickup truck because the driver, 31-year-old Scott White of Antioch, was allegedly not
wearing a seat belt.
During an investigation, the officer located a homemade explosive device and then requested assistance from the Walnut Creek Police Bomb Squad. Walnut Creek police arrived and recovered the device, which was later
destroyed, police said.

Traffic on Center Avenue and Pacheco Boulevard was temporarily impacted during the investigation.
White was arrested and booked into the county jail, police said.
