Oakley Woman Killed In Collision On Highway 4 In Antioch

An Oakley woman was killed in a collision on state Highway 4 in Antioch Monday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

ANTIOCH - An Oakley woman was killed in a collision on state Highway 4 in Antioch Monday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 5:46 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Highway 4 just west of Somersville Road.

A BMW crashed into the back of an Acura, pushing the Acura onto the right shoulder.

The driver was unconscious and unresponsive.

The victim was transported to a hospital in Antioch, but she was pronounced deceased at 6:48 p.m., according to the CHP. She was 49 years old.

The driver of the BMW was also transported to a hospital with moderate injuries.

Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash, and no arrests have been made, according to the CHP.
