Pittsburg Pedestrian Killed In Auto Crash Near High School
A vehicle fatally struck a pedestrian in Pittsburg Monday morning.

PITTSBURG - A vehicle fatally struck a pedestrian in Pittsburg Monday morning, according to police.
The collision occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Stoneman Avenue near Meadowbrook Circle by Black Diamond High School and the Pittsburg Adult Education Center, according to Pittsburg police.
The motorist remained at the scene.

Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be factors in the collision, according to police.

**TRAFFIC ADVISORY**
ROAD CLOSURE - AUTO VS. PEDESTRIAN COLLISION INVESTIGATION
At approximately 10:30 this morning, officers responded to an auto vs. pedestrian collision on Stoneman Ave. near Meadowbrook Ave. The pedestrian did not survive the collision and officers are currently on scene conducting their investigation. The driver remained on scene and intoxication does not appear to be a factor. Stoneman Ave. from Harbor St. to Loveridge Rd. will be closed while officers are investigating the collision. Please use alternate routes and avoid the area.
