Pleasant Hill Bank Robbery: Suspect Photo Released

A bank on Contra Costa Boulevard was robbed at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to police.

PLEASANT HILL, CA — Police in Pleasant Hill are investigating a bank robbery that occurred in the city Wednesday. The robbery was reported at 12:32 p.m. at Pacific Service Credit Union, 2051 Contra Costa Blvd. Officers responded and determined that the suspect passed a note demanding money while displaying a handgun in his waistband, Pleasant Hill police officials said in a statement.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber left the bank on foot, walking south along Contra Costa Boulevard, police said.

The robber was not seen getting into a car, police said.

However, police reviewed video surveillance footage from the bank to produce an image of the suspect.

Police are encouraging anyone who recognizes the suspect or has additional information to call the PHPD Investigations Division at 925-288-4630.

No one was injured during the robbery, police said.
