Flooding in Pleasant Hill....you betcha!

Just ask the longtime residents of Gregory Gardens and Pleasant Valley neighborhoods.

What are the chances of a future flood affecting these neighborhoods? What are the historical conditions that help us predict flooding so that homeowners can take action to protect their property? These are just a couple nuggets of information that Senior Hydrologist, Mark Boucher will share with us on Thursday evening, November 20th, 7:00pm, at the Pleasant Hill Community Center.

Many residents and business owners can recall flooding in the past decade from late December rainfalls that were vastly heavier than expected. Those in the lower elevations can vividly recall the flood waters caused from creek runoff, clogged storm drains, and heavy rains threatening to enter their homes and businesses.
