Pleasant Hill Police Seeking Robbery Suspect
A man trying to do someone a favor ends up a victim; the suspect claims to have a gun.

A man threatened another man with a gun and robbed him of cash and a cell phone in Pleasant Hill Sunday afternoon, police said.
Police responded to a report of a robbery at 4:35 p.m. in the 600 block of Contra Costa Blvd., police said.
An 18-year-old man told police he loaned money to another man and allowed him to use his cell phone when the other man ran off with the money and the cell phone. The victim chased after the man, but when he caught up to him, the suspect told the victim he had a gun, although no gun was seen, police said.

Police described the suspect as a black man, roughly 6 feet tall, weighing 220 pounds, with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a red and white-checkered shirt and jeans, police said.
