Pleasant Hill Stabbing Suspect Nabbed In SoCal
BREAKING: Police responded Sunday to a local apartment where fighting and yelling were reported, and two were found with stab wounds.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA – A man police suspect of stabbing two people in his apartment in Pleasant Hill before fleeing to Southern California was arrested Sunday in the city of South Gate, California according to police.
South Gate officers arrested Mario Valencia, 32, at about 3 p.m. after a brief car chase, according to Pleasant Hill police.
Valencia had been on the run since about 3:45 a.m. Sunday after apparently getting into a fight with the two victims at an apartment in the 200 block of Coggins Drive and then allegedly stabbing them both multiple
times, police said.

Officers responded to calls of people heard yelling and fighting in the apartment, and upon arrival, the two victims were found suffering from multiple potentially life-threatening stab wounds.
The two were taken to the hospital and listed in critical condition, according to police.

South Gate is about seven miles south of downtown Los Angeles.
