'Rail Measurement' In Transbay Tube Delaying BART Monday Afternoon
Trains were expected to be back on schedule shortly after noon.

BART trains through the Transbay Tube are delayed over 20 minutes in the East Bay and San Francisco directions this afternoon because maintenance crews needed to take a measurement, a BART spokesman said.
BART officials reported the unscheduled maintenance at 11:52 a.m. via Twitter. BART spokesman Jim Allison said that track maintenance crews needed to take a measurement, likely a rail measurement, which they do regularly, but he said he doesn’t know why this measurement request wasn’t previously scheduled.
Allison said that as of around 12:10 p.m., the trains were expected to resume normal service.
