Roadside Altercation Ends in Stabbing on I-680

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a stabbing that happened on Interstate Highway 680 in Walnut Creek Thursday.
Officers responded at 4:25 p.m. to two vehicles stopped on the right shoulder of the highway near North Main Street. There was a brief altercation that led to a victim being stabbed, according to the CHP.
After the stabbing, the suspect fled the scene. The suspect was identified as a Hispanic man wearing a baseball cap and blue jeans, and his vehicle was described as a dark colored sedan with tinted windows, according to the CHP.

The victim was in a white utility truck towing and excavator.
The CHP is asking any witnesses who may be able to provide additional information about the suspect vehicle or the individual involved in the stabbing to contact the CHP at (707) 551-4100.
