In Concord: See Video Of Pedestrian Struggling To Safely Cross Street
The police department set up enforcement operation for dangerous drivers, and 51 were stopped. [Breaking]

CONCORD, CA – After receiving a citizen complaint regarding motorists, the Concord Police Department set up traffic officers at Willow Pass Road at San Vincente Drive and Clayton Road at Ashbury Drive and made 51 enforcement stops, the agency said.
"While most drivers and pedestrians followed the rules, we did make 51 enforcement stops," said Concord PD. "Most had to do with failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, bypassing a stopped vehicle that is yielding to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and blocking a crosswalk with a motor vehicle.
"We would like to thank the concerned resident for bringing this to our attention and we are grateful for the grant funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety so that we can address these types of issues."
