Security Hacked At Pleasant Hill UPS Store

The UPS Store in Pleasant Hill was one of 51 locations nationwide hit with a possible security breach of customer information, according to store officials.

UPS disclosed the breach on its web site reporting that its stores were hit with a “malware intrusion” at its franchised operations, including the one at 25A Crescent Drive.

Personal and financial information may have been exposed by the incident for customers who made purchases at the Pleasant Hill location between April 29, 2014 and Aug. 11, 2014, the company stated.

“The customer information that may have been exposed includes customers’ names, postal addresses, email addresses and payment card information,” UPS officials said in a press statement.

“Not all of this information may have been exposed for The UPS Store customers who used a credit or debit card at an impacted location during this period,“ officials said, adding that no fraud cases are reported, to date.

The UPS Store is offering identity protection and credit monitoring services to “impacted” customers.
