When Does School Start in Pleasant Hill?

Students at local schools return to classrooms next month. As of July 1, all students entering seventh grade need proof of the Tdap booster shot.

Let the countdown begin. It’s summertime and there's still plenty of time to enjoy your favorite activities and family vacations.

But before you know it, back-to-school season will begin and you’ll be at Target and other stores snatching up school supplies and the latest fashions.

In the Mount Diablo Unified School District, school starts on Aug. 29 for elementary school, middle school and high school students.

If you have a child entering seventh grade, remember that you'll need to show proof of the Tdap booster shot before starting school. The district is pretty clear: "No shot=no school."

Enjoy those summer vacations to give your brains a rest so you can be back and ready to learn come August.
