Yan Can Restaurant Closes Its Doors

A fixture in downtown Pleasant Hill has shut its doors.

The Yan Can Asian Bistro on Crescent Drive closed up shop on Tuesday.

A sign on the front door informs customers of the decision and directs them to the company's other restaurant in Santa Clara.

The bistro has been in Pleasant Hill for nine years. It was the original Yan Can restaurant.

Gayle Chan, an attorney for Yan Can, said the closure was simply a business decision. She would not elaborate.

"The time there has just run out. It was to time to move on," she said.
