12 Vehicle Break-ins Traced To Suspected Trio: Pleasanton PD
Keon Ibarra, 18, from Richmond, and two 17-year-olds — one from Richmond and the other from Hercules — were arrested by Pleasanton police.

PLEASANTON, CA — A Pleasanton resident who called police after hearing sounds of breaking glass outside her home is to thank for the arrests of three people suspected in a string of vehicle break-ins.
Keon Ibarra, 18, from Richmond, and two 17-year-olds — one from Richmond and the other from Hercules — were arrested early Tuesday by Pleasanton police after a resident on Bonita Avenue heard breaking glass around 2 a.m.
The resident peered outside and spotted "a couple of shadowy figures with flashlights near a vehicle," according to Pleasanton PD. The woman called police and continued to watch the subjects walk up the street. She also noticed a vehicle following along slowly with its lights out, police said.

When officers arrived on scene, they stopped a silver Kia Forte rental with Florida license plates, still driving with no headlights on, police said. Officers detained Ibarra and the two juveniles. Further investigation found windows smashed and property taken from at least 12 different vehicles in the area, and stolen property from each inside the Kia, according to police.
Officers booked Ibarra at Santa Rita Jail and the two juveniles at Juvenile Hall in San Leandro.
