2 Cooling Centers To Open During Pleasanton Heat Wave
Enjoy the air conditioned senior center and library, relax and maybe even catch up on your reading over the sizzling holiday weekend!

PLEASANTON, CA – Two cooling centers will open in Pleasanton over the weekend as temperatures are predicted to hit a possible high of 108 degrees.
The City of Pleasanton announced today that the centers at the Pleasanton Public Library, 400 Old Bernal Ave., and at the Pleasanton Senior Center, 5353 Sunol Blvd., will be open Friday to Monday from 12 noon to 9 p.m. The library also can be used during normal business hours as a place to escape the heat on Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Temperatures are expected to soar over the long holiday weekend through Labor Day Monday, and city officials remind residents to drink plenty of water, wear light-colored clothing and minimize strenuous activity during the peak heat afternoon hours.
