3 Arrested After Catalytic Converter Theft: Pleasanton Police

PLEASANTON, CA — Three people were arrested in connection with a catalytic converter theft in Pleasanton, according to police.

“Last night, an alert community member interrupted what they believed was a vehicle theft and immediately contacted police,” the Pleasanton Police Department said in a social media post on Monday.

“Our officers responded quickly and located the suspect vehicle leaving the area. Their investigation confirmed that a catalytic converter theft had occurred.”

Three people from Stockton were taken into custody and booked into the Santa Rita Jail, according to police.

“Thank you to the alert resident whose quick action helped officers likely prevent additional crimes and hold those responsible accountable,” the department said in the social media post. “And remember, if you see something, say something!”
