$30M Pleasanton Elementary School Rebuild Will Break Ground Soon

The Pleasanton Unified School District expects to break ground in February 2020 for the rebuild of Lydiksen Elementary School.

PLEASANTON, CA — The Lydiksen Elementary School rebuild and modernization project is expected to begin February 2020, a year after the Pleasanton Unified School District Board of Trustees approved the proposed design.

The $30 million project, funded by Measure I1 bonds passed by Pleasanton voters in 2017, will bring upgrades to the campus, first built in 1968. Parents, teachers and staff helped plan the project, according to a Pleasanton Unified School statement.

The school will feature mobile furniture, writable walls, a kindergarten building, additional parking and more, according to a presentation on the project.
