5 Alameda County Restaurants Flunk Health Department Inspections

PLEASANTON, CA - Vermin infestation, no running water, unsanitary conditions. The list of reasons why restaurants are closed by the Alameda County Health Department is stomach churning.

Since the start of the year, five restaurants have been shuttered. Most reopen within a few days after correcting the violations.

Below is a list of restaurants closed in 2016:

Fremont

Happy Valley’s Restaurant, 400 E 12TH ST., OAKLAND - Lack of Sanitation

San Leandro

Creekside Bistro, 500 DAVIS ST 120, SAN LEANDRO - Vermin Infestation; Food at Improper Temperature

Restaurants in Alameda County must display their inspection grade. Look for “Pass (green), Conditional Pass (yellow), and Closed (red) placards.”
