Amador Valley High School Reopens Santa Rita Parking Lot
The lot features new shaded parking, safety improvements, as well as a new layout/orientation.

PLEASANTON, CA — As the new Amador Valley High School solar parking structure nears completion, the Santa Rita parking lot is re-opening Tuesday, Oct. 15. The lot features new shaded parking, safety improvements, as well as a new layout/orientation.
Parking permits for available spots in the Santa Rita lot will be for sale to class of 2020 seniors on a lottery basis and then be released to juniors based on availability.
The parking lot's opening does increase available on-site parking, but the Pleasanton Unified School District is encouraging families and students to walk and ride their bikes/scooters to school if possible.

"This healthy way for our students to get to school reduces our carbon footprint on the environment as well as reduces overall traffic during drop off and pick up and in the community at large," the district said on its website.
The use of our temporary shuttles and additional bus routes will be phased out with the parking lot opening, however the district is encouraging students to continue to take advantage of local public transportation through Wheels.
