Amador Valley Students To Hold Sports-Equipment Drive

Their goal is to donate such gear as balls, baseball gloves, bats and tennis rackets to Boys and Girls Clubs in the Bay Area.

PLEASANTON, CA — A group of students at Amador Valley High School are hosting a collection drive for new or lightly used sporting equipment on Nov. 10 in Pleasanton to benefit youngsters in need at Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the San Francisco Bay area.

AVHS students Brent Friedman and Monty Sage said they started the Equipment for Everyone club to help supply youth with the gear they need to play the sports they love.

"We are sure that almost everyone in this town has a box of unused sports gear in their garage," Brent said.
