SR-84 To Close In Both Directions Nightly

SUNOL, CA — Both lanes of SR-84 will close overnight from Monday through Friday starting this week, Caltrans announced.

As part of the project to replace the 1939 Arroyo de la Laguna Bridge, SR-84 will close between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Monday through Friday for approximately four weeks. Motorists will be detoured around the work zone.

The replacement bridge is intended to provide a safer commute between Pleasanton, Sunol, Fremont, and Livermore, and will contain a wider roadway and ADA-compliant sidewalks, among other repairs. Night-time Construction began Monday, May 18. Day-time construction will follow in a few weeks and continue until October.
