His Eagle Scout project consisted of constructing two seating benches for the nursery area of St. Clare's Episcopal Church. The benches provide a place for garden helpers to rest during the hot summer and for passersby to sit and enjoy a book from the neighboring little library. Fifteen helpers, including adults, contributed to the project, which totaled 127.25 hours. The benches were made of pressure-treated fir wood and coated with a stain to help ensure longevity. Jennifer Whitehouse, who supervises the nursery, and others at the church were very pleased with the benches, describing them as sturdy, comfortable and beautiful with the rest of the garden.

Arnav is a sophomore at Amador Valley High School. His interests include computer and electrical engineering, math, physics, history and economics. He serves as Build Captain for Amador Valley Science Olympiad and Treasurer for Amador Valley Model UN, teaches math at Hart MathCounts and is a member of the electrical team for the AVBotz robotics team. After graduating from high school, he plans to attend a four-year university to earn an engineering degree. He hopes to solve major problems through engineering, with interests in designing the next generation of fast computer chips and developing technology to help make artificial intelligence more sustainable.

To earn the rank of Eagle Scout, a Scout must be active in their troop, provide leadership, earn 21 merit badges including the areas of citizenship, camping, communications, cooking and lifesaving or emergency preparedness as well as demonstrate that they live by the principles of the Scout Oath and the Scout Law. They must also plan, develop, and give leadership to others in a service project benefiting a religious institution, school, or community group.
