Andersen Bakery known as Grain D’or Bakery- Yummy Carb-Filled Treats in Stoneridge Mall

Andersen Bakery (Grain D'or Bakery) has high-quality baked goods, sandwiches and cakes that are based off of European traditions.

Going to the Stoneridge Mall is a special treat when I know we are stopping at Andersen Bakery (Grain D’or Bakery) because I know we will get high-quality baked goods, sandwiches and cakes that are based off of European traditions.

Best of all, the products that come out of this bakery have no preservatives and are always fresh and tasty.

On this particular visit, I was on the hunt for some Italian-themed breads — my family and I were making some delicious pastas and wanted some tasty bread to go with it.

We were in luck — we found my personal favorite, which is a pesto bread ($3.50). This amazing bread is made with homemade pesto that is chock-full of basil, garlic, and the finest extra virgin olive oil.

Another family favorite for when we have an Italian meal is the basic Ciabatta ($3.25)

I settled on the pesto bread and I was greeted by a friendly worker who offered me the most moist piece of raisin loaf as a free sample.

This item should be on the menu in late fall. Sadly, I had to hurry home to make dinner so I could not grab a delectable sandwich or pastry.

Usually when I have a meal here, I go for the smoked ham and Emmental cheese on whole wheat bread ($6.25).

This sandwich features lettuce, bean sprouts, tomato, lightly smoked ham, Emmental Swiss cheese, Dijon mustard or mayonnaise.

I also love the barbecue chicken sandwich ($6.50) on toasted Ciabatta. It features grilled chicken breast, bacon, cheddar cheese, cabbage, barbecue sauce and chipotle mayo.

When I am in the mood for something sweet, I go for a cheese Danish ($1.75) or the chocolate croissant ($2.35)

All in all, this is a great place to pick up some great bread or pastries, or sit for a quick meal that offers fresh and healthy options.

The service is fast and friendly. But get there early — the place is always crowded and tables fill up.
