Annual 'Feed Tri-Valley Food Drive' Begins

The drive, which runs July 7-21, will help feed food-insecure residents of Pleasanton, Dublin and Livermore.

PLEASANTON, CA — Feed Tri-Valley, which works to feed local food-insecure residents, is holding its annual food drive July 7-21. Anyone who is able is invited to donate food and grocery store gift cards at designated drop-off locations during the drive: Pleasanton Public Library (400 Old Bernal); Town Center Books (555 Main Street); and Dublin Civic Center (100 Civic Plaza, Dublin). (For a complete list of drop-off locations, visit http://www.ptownlife.org/feedtrivalley/)

All donations will be distributed food-insecure residents of Pleasanton, Dublin and Livermore through neighborhood organizations like Open Heart Kitchen, Interfaith Sharing, Valley Bible Church and Tri-Valley Haven, according to event organizers.

Hunger affects more than 700 households in the Tri-Valley, according to Feed Tri-Valley. In a single month, local food providers supply 25,000 meals for these families and individuals, the nonprofit reported.
