Join the Pleasanton Community of Character Collaborative for a special annual event. The Collaborative is pleased to invite you to honor the spirit of Dr. King’s legacy at the 2019 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Fellowship Breakfast. Pleasanton's Community of Character Collaborative is a committee of volunteers representing the Pleasanton Unified School District, City of Pleasanton, Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce and other organizations who are working together to create a community culture that is built on values: goodwill and community-accepted traits through inspirational motivational and recognition programs.
Event Details
The 19th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Fellowship Breakfast will be taking place on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 7:30 - 9:30 am at the Doubletree Pleasanton at the Club, 7050 Johnson Drive in Pleasanton. This year's inspiring event will be hosted by Tim Sbranti, former Dublin Mayor.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Brian Copeland, award-winning actor, comedian, author, playwright and radio talk show host based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He began his career in standup at the age of 18 in San Francisco and has traveled the country.

We are delighted to honor Joanna Livingston, blogger, mom, champion for literacy, philanthropist and wife of Golden State Warriors player Shaun Livingston. Joanna has partnered with local nonprofits to promote early literacy because she knows that developing a love for reading in children is a way to change the trajectory of their lives. Literacy rates in young children directly correlate to success later in life. She is using her platform to share the love for reading and inspire philanthropic giving throughout the Bay Area.

Event Registration
Tickets for the event are $40 per person. All proceeds benefit the Pleasanton Community of Character Collaborative Scholarship Fund. Registration for the event can be made by going to Pleasanton Chamber website: www.pleasanton.org then going to the Events Calendar and selecting the MLK Breakfast.
