Axe-Throwing Venue Coming Soon To Pleasanton
Limitless Axes & Ales will be a place to throw axes at a target, sip beers and chow down.
PLEASANTON, CA — An axe-throwing business is coming to Pleasanton. Limitless Axes & Ales will be the first such business in the Tri-Valley and one of just a few in the Bay Area.
"It's really exhilarating," said Michael Hill, who will soon open the business with wife Brook Hill. "It's like bowling on crack."
At Limitless Axes & Ales, customers can throw axes at a target, like darts — "an unforgettable axe-perience," the business boasts on its Facebook page. The venue is lodge-themed and bar features "kick-axe food," Limitless Axes & Ales said.

All parties are supervised by a trained "Axepert" or "Axe-tructor" certified in axe safety during their hour-and-fifteen-minute session, the business said on its website. Close-toed shoes are a must and axes are provided. Axes are thrown in structures like batting cages to ensure the safety of nearby participants, Hill said.
Limitless Axes & Ales will have a lounge area selling charcuterie, hummus, salad, soup of the day, paninis, pizza and more. Catering options are available for parties, and beer and wine is available for purchase.

Axe-throwers can consume a maximum of two drinks while playing and the axe coach will keep an eye on groups to ensure that nobody is too intoxicated to play, Hill said.
Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent sign a waiver, and children as young as 13 can participate. Children at least 10 years old may throw axes if they are part of an organized group, the business said on its site.
The Hills have strong Tri-Valley roots, he said. Hill's wife is from Livermore and the couple also owns Limitless Escape Games in Livermore.
This time, he said, they wanted to bring a destination entertainment venture to Pleasanton.
Limitless Axes & Ales is starting construction Monday and is looking to open by the end of March or early April. Contact Limitless Axes & Ales at pleasanton@limitlessaxes.com. When the business opens, customers can visit in the Valley Plaza at 1809 Santa Rita Road, Ste. A.
