In one month, our Millie girl would be turning one. In honor of her, we want to help other heart families in the hospital. While we were in the hospital we received countless books, toys, blankets, bows, gifts, etc. for Millie, for our son, and for ourselves.
We spent 20 weeks at the hospital every day with our girl. Our family was always split between two or more places and donations helped lift us up, helped us navigate long days, and helped us bond with Millie. The heart community is the most amazing and special group of people that nobody wants to be a part of. They're some of the strongest people we've ever met, but they also go through some of the hardest things and need support in various ways.
We want to keep Millie's memory and influence alive. She changed us forever and we hope as many people as possible can remember our girl and let her touch your lives. Please just take a minute of your day to remember Millie. Smile when things are hard, be patient and avoid complaining, or make real eye contact with someone you love.

Millie we are so proud of you. You taught us so much and we promise to help the world to remember you. You've influenced so many people and will continue to do so for years to come. We love you sweet girl. We miss you so much. We'll never be as strong as you were, but we'll keep taking it one day at a time.
