Bomb Threat Prompts Evacuation of Pleasanton Home Depot
The shopping center and road nearby were closed for about two hours during the search Sunday, according to police.

A Pleasanton Home Depot store received a bomb threat Sunday evening, police said. A store employee took a call at about 5:30 p.m. from a person alleging a bomb was at the store at 6000 Johnson Drive in the Pleasanton Square Shopping Center, according to police.
Store officials reported the threat to police at about 6 p.m., police said. Officers evacuated Home Depot and adjoining stores in the shopping center to safety as officers set up a perimeter and searched for a device with store personnel, police said. The search did not reveal anything suspicious, according to police.
A BART police officer and dog capable of locating explosives also searched inside and outside the store without finding a device, police said. Officers are working to determine who made the call, police said.

The shopping center and road nearby were closed for about two hours during the search, according to police. Anyone with information about the threat is being asked to call the Pleasanton Police Department at (925) 931-5100.
