Thoughts About Animals in the Muirwood Neighborhood — Some Good, Some Bad

Thumbs down to all of the irresponsible dog owners in the Muirwood neighborhood and all of the irresponsible dog owners in all of the Pleasanton neighborhoods.

In the Muirwood neighborhood of Pleasanton as well as in all the neighborhoods of Pleasanton, there are many pet owners. There are probably more dog owners than there are pet cat owners. There are good responsible dog owners in the Muirwood neighborhood and there are bad irresponsible dog owners in the Muirwood neighborhood.

Good, responsible dog owners in the Muirwood neighborhood walk their dogs using a leash and the good responsible dog owners carry little baggies with them just in case their dog decides to have a poop. In such an event, the good responsible pet dog owners use the little baggie to pick up the poop and carry it off with them and dispose of it properly on their home turf.

The irresponsible dog owners do not always have their dog on a leash and when the irresponsible dog owner's dog decides to have a poop, the irresponsible dog owner does nothing, continues on with their journey, leaves the poop where their dog had the event.

Wild turkeys wander through the Muirwood neighborhood, as many as sixteen or more en masse with some frequency. The wild turkeys never have a poop event. They manage themselfs until they get back into their home turf.

Deer wander into the Muirwood neighborhood occasionally, they never have a poop event — they manage themselves until they get back into their home turf. However, they do feast on my rosemary.

There are black birds raiding the walnut farm next to the Muirwood neighborhood, and drop the walnuts onto the intersection of Muirwood Drive and Eastwood Court to break open the shells to get to the nut inside the shell. They do leave the shell behind. The street traffic pulverizes the shells.

Hats off to all the good, responsible dog owners in the Muirwood neighborhood and all of the good, responsible dog owners in all of the Pleasanton neighborhoods.

Thank nature for the wild animals and their respect for the human habitat.
