
PLEASANTON, CA — The body of a 25-year-old Pleasanton man missing since September 25 was found Tuesday in the Laurel Creek recreational area, police officials said.
Blake Cochran’s car was found in the Laurel Creek staging area in Pleasanton, prompting police to conduct three searches of the area in an attempt find the man.
According to police, Cochran’s body was discovered on Sept. 27 about a quarter of a mile from the Laurel Creek staging area parking lot in a remote area off of the marked walking path.

The investigation into Cochran’s death is ongoing, although investigators say they do not suspect foul play.
“At this time it appears Cochran’s death was a result of suicide,” police said in a statement. “The Pleasanton Police Department has been in contact with Cochran’s family and the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Coroner’s Bureau throughout the investigation.”
