BREAKING: Pedestrian Dies in Collision with Auto

A pedestrian died last evening in a collision with an automobile in Pleasanton, police said. Officers responded at about 6:20 p.m. to the collision near the intersection of Abbie and First streets, according to police. Officers found the pedestrian with major injuries, police said.

Paramedics tried to save the person but they died, according to police. The driver of the automobile stayed at the collision site and cooperated with officers, police said. No one else was injured, according to police.
