PLEASANTON, CA — Crews have contained the vegetation fire that broke out early Sunday on the 9400 block of Blessing Drive in Pleasanton, authorities said Sunday afternoon.

The Macdonald Fire was 100 percent contained at 5.25 acres by 4:40 p.m. Sunday, according to Cal Fire.

Residents in Pleasanton had reported the smell of smoke hours after it broke out.
