Burglars Steal $10K In Equipment In Pleasanton, Flee Police
Police chased a Dodge Charger that eventually crashed near Eden Canyon Road. The suspects remain at-large.
PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton police are searching for two suspects who stole $10,000 worth of items from a truck.
Early Monday morning, Pleasanton dispatchers received a call from a resident who reported seeing a burglary in process, according to a PPD report. The witness said that he saw two men drive away in a Dodge Charger after breaking into a truck and stealing tools.
Officers tracked down the Charger, which they say was speeding down Hopyard Road. The suspects turned onto I-580 westbound, but eventually crashed near Eden Canyon Road. Despite joint efforts with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office and the California Highway Patrol, the suspects evaded capture.

The car did not: officers recovered the car, which they say was stolen out of San Francisco, and found about $10,000 worth of stolen items, including tools and medical equipment.
