“Art Made Easy” Art Show May 11-15
Charlotte Severin and her students in her "Art Made Easy” watercolor class have the pleasure of presenting their paintings at Severin’s 35th annual art show at the Senior Center in Pleasanton May 11-15.
The city-sponsored watercolor class is celebrating its final year with its annual exhibit of a wide variety of paintings done by participants in the class and Severin.
After 35 years of teaching “Art Made Easy,” Severin will retire from teaching.“I have been teaching this class for the past 35 years and will miss this very important part of my life. I have students who have been taking lessons from me for many years,” she said.
Charlotte Severin is an award-winning Bay Area artist whose works are displayed in public and private collections in the United States and many foreign countries. "Painting is a celebration of life for me," Severin said. “I love bringing joy to other people through my paintings.”
The exhibit will include paintings by current students as well as an exhibit of paintings by Severin. Participating artists are Cynthia Altman, Claudia Curran, Henry Murakami, Gerri Vegas, Ava Chinn, Judy Lundquist, Sue Inouye, Beth Green, Akila Venkat, Arlie Alford and Trish Adams.
The public is invited the “Art Made Easy” art exhibit that is open daily at the Pleasanton Senior Center, 5353 Sunol Boulevard in Pleasanton, May 11 through Friday, May 15. (Tuesday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.)
