California's Highest Honor Goes To A Pleasanton Elementary School

PLEASANTON, CA — Henry P. Mohr Elementary School of the Pleasanton Unified School District was one of 323 schools recognized by the state Department of Education this year.

Award winners excelled in closing the achievement gap and exceptional student performance. The program selects elementary schools, and middle and high schools in alternating years, so J. M. Amador Elementary will hold the award for two years.

In the Tri-Valley, Hidden Hills Elementary in San Ramon, Sycamore Valley Elementary in Danville and J. M. Amador Elementary in Dublin were also recognized.
