Car Catches Fire Following Crash in Pleasanton

BREAKING: Emergency crews are on scene.

PLEASANTON, CA — A car caught fire following a collision in Pleasanton this morning, CHP officials said. The crash was reported in the area of Sunol and Verona roads at 7:40 a.m., according to the Pulsepoint phone application.

Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department crews extinguished the blaze within minutes of arriving on scene. One car was reportedly blocking the road and another was in a nearby ditch, according to the CHP.

California Highway Patrol officials have not yet been reached for comment. No other information is currently available.
