CERT Training Open To Livermore & Pleasanton Residents

PLEASANTON, CA — The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department is hosting a Community Emergency Response Team Training on Tuesday evenings from Oct. 1 to Nov. 12.

Community members have the opportunity to learn disaster preparedness, fire safety, disaster medical response, disaster psychology, terrorism, light search and rescue, and more. At the end of the course, participants will take part in an LPFD and CERT drill to put what they learned into practice.

The courses are free and open to anyone 16 or older who lives and/or works in Livermore or Pleasanton. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Courses will take place Tuesday evenings from 6-9:30 p.m., and a class on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9-4:30. Courses are held at Pleasanton's Operations Service Center and LPFD training grounds on Busch Road.
