Chabot Sends Strong Cast To State Track Meet
Nico Melendres has to state's No. 2 mark in the 800 meters entering the meet, of 1 minute, 51.49 seconds.
The Chabot College track and field team will be sending a group of 12 the CCCAA State Championships at Mt. San Antonio College on Friday and Saturday.
To qualify for the state meet athletes needed to have placed in either the top 4-6 in the event at the regional championships.

Men:
Nico Melendres- 800 meters - 1:51.49, 2nd in state and 4th fastest time in Chabot history.
Zion Mayo- 100m-10.62 (6th in school history); 200- 21.46 (8th in school history)

Jacob Lawrence- 5,000m- 14:38 - 4th in the state and 2nd fastest in school history.
Men's 4x100m relay - 41.29- 4th in the state. (Zion Mayo, Shamil Youngblood, Devin Walker, & Obinna Elendu
Women:
Andi Aymond- Pole Vault - 10-10, 8th in the state and School record holder.
Masina Mayo- 100m - 12.16 (5th fastest in school history)
Giovanna Duley- 200m - 25.32(10th in school history)
Zharia Dixon- 100m - 11.98 (Northern CA Champion), 2nd fastest in school history.
Ariana Chavez - 800m - 2:20.54 - 8th in state and 5th in school history.
Angie Paglieri - 3,000m Steeplechase - 12:11.92 (11th in state and 2nd in school history)
