Change in Leadership Impending at Hart Middle School
Principal Terry Conde has been reassigned to another position in the district.

PLEASANTON, CA: Hart Middle School in Pleasanton will soon be assigned a new principal following the reassignment of longtime principal Terry Conde.
Officials confirm Conde will soon be moving to a different role within the district. Due to personnel privacy laws, neither the district nor the school board released specifics about what lead to Conde's reassignment.
Pleasanton Unified School District Board of Trustees President Jamie Yee Hintzke says reassignments are usually about optimizing talent.

"With a district overseeing approximately 1,500 employees, the Pleasanton Unified School District (Superintendent) is responsible for managing and maximizing talent," Hintzke said in a statement. "The district’s goal is to place staff in roles that have the largest impact for the individual and for the district as a whole."
Conde took over as the Hart Middle School principle in 2010, filling the position vacated by the retirement of Steve Maher. Conde has been with this district since 1999, according to the Hart Middle School website.

"We understand that change doesn’t come easily, but we trust the district administration to make the right decisions to benefit the overall organization," Hintzke said.
Officials declined to give a timeline for Conde's departure from Hart and did not comment about a possible replacement. Conde has not been reached for comment.
